Ramco Innovations is an Automation Solutions Provider (distributor) who has been in business since 1962. We sell technically applied products into the industrial marketplace. Ramco does business in Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Southern Illinois.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Promote and secure business from existing and prospective clients through a consultative selling approach.
- Identify and pursue sales leads, prospective new clients and move them through the sales pipeline form qualification to close stages.
- Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information.
- Qualify prospective customers quickly by fact-finding to identify decision-makers, pain points, competition, budget, timeline, and other potential obstacles.
- Create a competitive analysis, identify industry and product trends, and position Ramco as the clear and obvious choice.
- Present our solutions to prospects on your own or with the assistance of the Application Engineers and vendor reps. Assist the customers in selecting the best solutions for their needs.
- Participate in training opportunities, self training, company sponsored events and supplier based training.
- Meet or surpass the monthly quota for sold business and lead requirements/revenue-generating activities.
- Coordinate with the accounts receivable department to ensure that all invoices are paid in full in a timely manner by your customers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
This position is for a committed man or woman with an engineering mind and a sales personality. The ideal candidate will be an experienced self-starter capable of identifying applications for products on our line card. This would include; PLC’s, Robotics, Sensors, Thermal Systems, Motion Control, AC Drives, Vision, Bar Code, etc. Experience with these automation products is also highly desirable.
- We do consultative selling with the intention of helping customers improve their processes. Good listening skills is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSME or BSEE preferred) in a technical discipline preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years industry related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrate effective written, verbal and communication skills.
- Able to to perform basic mathematical skills as related to business use
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Gmail
- Must be able to travel within the sales territory 70% of the time
- Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license and maintain an approved motor vehicle record (MVR)

- Variable work environment which includes both indoors and outdoors, in industrial, commercial and office settings with varying environmental conditions.
- Exposure to the environment of customer facilities during on-site visits which may require wearing safety glasses, steel-toed boots, ear plugs and possibly a hardhat.
- Up to several hours per day may be spent operating a motor vehicle traveling to customers sites, corporate office or factory training sometimes requiring overnight travel.
- Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.
- Work under typical office conditions which may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning and the noise level is moderately quiet.
- Fast-paced environment: subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
- Specific vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus. Possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment.
- Sitting in a normal seated position for an extended period of time.
- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
