  The safety laser scanner is used as an interlock that checks the reflection of the emitted laser and permits machine operation only when a person or an object is not present. Two zones can be widely monitored with the SD3-A1, the warning zone (within a radius 15 m) and the detection zone (protection zone) (within a radius 4 m). The contours of these zones are fully configurable for a perfect fit in every application. Up to eight zone patterns can be set and switched over at any given time, even during operation.
