High Speed Laser Measurement Controller for Melsec Q Series PLC

The UQ1-01 designed for the CD5 Series gets measured data from the sensor
automatically and updates calculation result and control output in 100 microseconds. The process is done in the unit itself so there is no load on the PLC

2 laser heads can be connected to one controller. The UQ1 has its own microprocessor and digital outputs and is independent of scan time of the PLC.

Easy Connection and Easy Setup

The UQ1 Series is recognized simply by placing the controller on the Melsec Q series base. No communication setup is required
There is also no communication setup between the CD5/CD33 sensor and the UQ1 controller.

High Speed Infrared Communications

< Multiple UQ1 cards and be be connected onto the Melsec Q bus. The cards have an infrared port
for communication between the cards. This communication part allows for more complicated and high speed calculations when using multiple laser heads. For example 4 laser heads could be positioned
looking at a part and checking for level.

Easy Access Software

Dedicated software “UQ Navigator” is available. Designed for making quick adjustments to set-up parameters of the laser heads,calculation algorithms, and checking measurement status. All of this can be done without needing knowledge of PLC programming.
